A feast for the senses: with special guest star chef WOLFGANG PUCK

On Saturday, June 15, we invited guests to the legendary vintage presentation at the Weinlaubenhof in Illmitz to celebrate our 65th anniversary.

The Kracher family has now made it a tradition to hold the vintage presentation in the unique ambience of the Weinlaubenhof in Illmitz. This year, 800 guests attended the event, which was once again a complete success. The focus was on the 65th anniversary of our Weinlaubenhof. The best of three generations and the 2020 Kracher collection were presented. Another highlight of the event was undoubtedly the presence of world-famous celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, who spoiled the guests with 13 exquisite creations. Around 5,500 plates were served, which perfectly matched our fine wines and enchanted the guests' palates.

Wolfgang Puck arrived with his first-class brigade of chefs, including the renowned Elliott Grover, who serves as Executive Chef of CUT in London. CUT is not only the best steak restaurant in England, but is also one of the ten best restaurants in the world. He was also accompanied by Tetsu Yahagi, Director of Culinary Development and Operations, who is known for his outstanding culinary skills.

The long-standing and close friendships that we maintain with our partners give the event a personal touch. These include renowned companies such as the Ströck bakery, the Reisetbauer family and Tiroler Edle. Friendships with outstanding chefs such as Robert Letz and Harald Lang also contribute to the success of the event.

Lohberger has provided the kitchens with first-class equipment. This includes not only high-quality grills and ovens, but also a variety of other kitchen utensils and appliances that enable perfect preparation and presentation of the food. The first-class quality contributed significantly to the smooth running of the culinary experience.

Bert Jachmann has written a remarkable book on sweet wine cocktails. We were treated to his masterful creations throughout the day. His recipes impressively demonstrate how diverse and fascinating the world of sweet wine cocktails can be.

There were four masterclasses, three of which were held by Gerhard Kracher. The last master class was a very special highlight. It was held jointly by Gerhard Kracher, Wolfgang Puck, his son Byron Puck and Tetsu Yahagi, who also provided musical accompaniment to the presentation.
