Current reviews of the Kracher Collection 2021

[Translate to English:]

Available from 11. September 2024.

The long wait will soon be over—the  Kracher Collection 2021 is about to make its debut. This exceptional collection reflects a year that was characterized by challenging conditions. Only through utmost care and precise timing during the harvest were we able to produce grapes that make up the incomparable character of our noble sweet Trockenbeerenauslese wines.

We have already received the first reviews from renowned critics, which we naturally don't want to withhold from you so that you can get an exclusive first impression of the Kracher Collection 2021.

2021 TBA No. 1 Traminer 2021 TBA No. 1 Traminer

The 2021 Trockenbeerenauslese No 1 Traminer  opens with a deep, intense, fresh and savory bouquet with candied lemon and minty and herbal aromas. Full-bodied, rich and savory on the palate, this is a refined and elegant, lemon-fresh and bitter-finishing TBA with a tight and spicy structure and less juice than in more generous years. This 2021 TBA is more pithy and saline, even gastronomic, since it doesn't taste super sweet but spicy and savory. This is due to early botrytis in a very dry year and the harvest in early October.

2021 TBA No. 4 Rosenmuskateller

Picked a couple of days earlier than the Red Roses BA, the 2021 Trockenbeerenauslese No 4 Rosenmuskateller is deep, refined and spicy on the pure and elegant nose that reveals candied cherry, nougat, mocha and also floral aromas. Full-bodied, rich and elegant on the palate, this is a concentrated and savory, lemony and tight TBA with fine tannins, candied lemon and grapefruit notes on the finish. 2021 TBA No. 6 Welschriesling

The 2021 Trockenbeerenauslese No 6 Welschriesling is deep, very clear, precise and savory on the dense and complex nose that shows bergamot and lavender notes along with quince and lemon aromas. Rich and generous on the palate, this is a very sweet and oily yet also savory and finessed TBA that is a spectacularly generous, finely tannic and balanced Welschriesling that fermented slowly for 18 months to end up as one of Kracher's greatest TBAs.
